Eddie "Cleanhead" Vinson

Eddie "Cleanhead" Vinson was an American alto saxophonist and blues singer from Houston, Texas, who began his career in the 1930s and became associated with blues, jump blues and jazz. He combined blues vocal traditions with bebop-influenced saxophone lines, bridging jump blues, rhythm and blues and modern jazz while remaining active on the American blues and jazz scenes into the later 20th century.
